As a Purdue graduate in Food Services Management, Rick is no stranger to the food industry. His career began with managing restaurants, and he ultimately founded “Freezerves” Freezer Jams in 1986. While he sold his shares in 2004, it is the first and only commercial freezer jam still served in thousands of restaurants today. SeaSmoked Foods, LLC is Rick’s second entrepreneurial venture in the business. It started with his love for smoking foods of all kinds, after a special request for a new smoker as a Christmas gift. And so the test marketing began with family and friends. Rick’s smoked cheese was so well received he was compelled to share it with others.
